An Interior Lover’s Guide to Glasgow
12/06/2026

As someone who loves great design, our Business Development Manager, Sarah, is always on the lookout for inspiring spaces. We’ve asked her to share some of her favourite interiors in Glasgow.

Top Left to Bottom Right: Outlier, Sisi, Margo, and Princes Square

As Business Development Manager at Little’s Chauffeur Drive, I have been lucky enough to travel across Scotland and experience some wonderful places, whether meeting clients, attending Familiarisation visits or attending events. But when I’m not working, one of my biggest passions is interior design.

I’ve always loved how a space can make you feel. From inspiring hotel lobbies and carefully designed restaurants to independent coffee shops with real personality and interiors that tell a story. And nowhere does this quite like Glasgow.

As a proud Glaswegian, I think our city has an incredible eye for design. How could we not as the hometown of the legendary Charles Rennie Mackintosh? But it’s the interiors tucked behind the city’s doors that make me return time and time again.

Here are a few of my favourite spots for anyone who loves beautiful design as much as I do.

Stay:

AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow

Is there anything better than a historic building being given a new lease of life? The AC Hotel by Marriott is an excellent example of that. The building’s original features have been carefully preserved, while contemporary interiors and subtle design details give it the perfect mix of old and new. A word of warning, you’ll leave here wanting to redecorate your entire home.

Dakota Deluxe Glasgow

If I had to choose one hotel in Glasgow that immediately stands out for its interiors, Dakota would be high on my list. The moment you walk through the doors you’re greeted by rich textures, dramatic lighting and a beautifully moody colour palette. It’s sophisticated, luxurious and incredibly well executed. Every corner feels considered, proving that sometimes darker interiors can create the most welcoming spaces.

Shop:

Princes Square

Princes Square has always been my favourite place in Glasgow, and not just because of the shopping. The stunning glass roof, ornate ironwork and sweeping staircases create such a beautiful environment that it almost feels like stepping into a European gallery rather than a shopping centre. I find myself looking up more than looking in the shop windows!

Stop for Coffee at:

Outlier

Outlier is a minimalist’s dream. Think clean lines, carefully selected materials and understated design. This place is effortlessly stylish. I love how every element here was considered and has a purpose. Despite its minimalist aesthetic, it still feels warm and welcoming rather than clinical. No easy feat. And the coffee is excellent!

The Devil’s Roast

Housed in the most beautiful Victorian building, The Devil’s Roast offers so much character. I met a client for coffee here one Tuesday morning at 11am and every table was occupied. The atmosphere was perfect! It’s exposed brickwork and thoughtful lighting makes it inviting, relaxed and just very Glasgow.

For Drinks:

Henry’s

There’s something effortlessly cool about Henry’s. It’s one of those places where you pop in for one drink and find yourself still there are closing time. It’s so easy to settle in here and unwind with a glass of wine enjoying the warm lighting and comfortable seating.

Sisi Glasgow

Contrary to Henry’s, Sisi’s feels like it was designed to make your jaw drop on arrival. Every detail has been carefully considered from elegant finishes to statement lighting and luxurious textures throughout. The adjoining rooftop bar is also a delight. Need I say more?

Where to Eat:

Margo’s interior is a masterclass in contemporary hospitality design. Soft lighting, natural materials and a restrained palette allow the food and atmosphere to share equal prominence. Proof that good design doesn’t need to shout to be noticed! Similarly, Crabshakk proves that simplicity can be incredibly effective. The best thing about Crabshakk is its authenticity and I would go as far as to say this is the best restaurant in Glasgow! (You can find out more about Team Little’s favourite places to dine here)

Glasgow is a city full of surprises. It’s unpretentious, unapologetically itself and that is what makes it so special. There’s so much to be discovered and most of the time, you wouldn’t know about them, unless you know about them. And that’s that joy of Glasgow.
