Hidden Gems & Highland Spirit: Stephen’s Journey Through Scotland
08/10/2025
With a love for Scotland’s scenery, history, and traditions, Stephen shares his favourite destinations and tips for unforgettable journeys.
Meet Stephen, Glasgow’s Head Chauffeur, who takes pride in creating unforgettable private chauffeur-driven tours of Scotland, helping visitors discover the country’s landscapes, history, and traditions. After joining a three-day sightseeing trip with his team, he discovered a new appreciation for Scotland’s incredible scenery and history. From the dramatic landscapes of The Quiraing on the Isle of Skye to the serene waters of Loch Lomond, he enjoys showing visitors the places and customs that make Scotland truly special.

Passion for Scotland:
The scenery and history here in Scotland are nothing short of phenomenal. If Kenneth hadn’t encouraged me to join a three-day sightseeing trip for training with the team, I might not have experienced so many incredible places first-hand. That trip opened my eyes to just how much beauty and heritage our country has to offer and reminded me how lucky we are to share it with our clients.
Favourite Hidden Gem:
One of my favourite hidden treasures has to be The Quiraing on the Isle of Skye. Many visitors have never even heard of it, which makes it all the more special to take them there. Watching their faces light up when they first see the dramatic landscapes and unique rock formations is always a highlight – a reminder of how magical Scotland can be.
Top Recommendation for First-Time Visitors:
For those experiencing Scotland for the first time, I always suggest starting with some classics:
- Loch Lomond, with its breathtaking landscapes and serene waters.
- Calton Hill in Edinburgh, which offers one of the most iconic views of the city.
These spots give a perfect introduction to Scotland’s natural beauty.
Favourite Scottish Tradition:
It has to be whisky. I didn’t properly enjoy a dram until the age of 40, when Little’s organised a distillery tour. Since then, I’ve come to appreciate the craftsmanship, history, and tradition behind Scotland’s national drink. It’s something I now enjoy on special occasions and a tradition I’m proud to recommend to visitors.
We hope you enjoyed getting to know Stephen and learning about his admiration for Scotland’s landscapes, history, and traditions.
