UN Climate Change Summit 2020 – COP26

Reading Time: 1 minute

A major United Nations Climate Change Summit will take place in Glasgow in 2020. The city has won the bid to host the 26th Conference of the Parties (COP26).

Scotland was one of the first countries in the world to acknowledge the global climate emergency and the Scottish Government has introduced the toughest targets in the UK to ensure our action matches the scale of our climate ambitions.

The UN climate change summit has been described as the most important climate change summit since the Paris Agreement in 2015.

The event, set up to help establish an international response to combat the climate emergency, is said to have up to 200 world leaders and 30,000 delegates attending. The summit will take place at Glasgow’s Scottish Events Campus (the SEC) at the end of 2020.

Whether you are attending the summit, or are organising travel arrangements for groups of delegates, Little’s can provide airport transfers, inter-venue transfers, coach hire and also private leisure tours for those who want to see more of Scotland during their visit.
