The Brief

Corporate Hospitality for The Open 2018

Our client was an event sponsor running an extensive corporate hospitality programme for the duration of the event. Clients travelled to their 4 star hotel from the US, Europe and Middle East, and all arrived individually. Each couple enjoyed a day at the golf, stayed overnight and went on to complete other business engagements for a further two days.

Our Solution

Due to the complexity involved in coordinating each guests’ transport arrangements throughout their trip, our operations team planned ahead; managing staff, organising overnight accommodation for chauffeurs and accruing availability. This meant that the transport was at the client’s disposal, providing them with the opportunity to travel freely and flexibly. Last minute changes to high profile guests’ travel plans were all discretely managed each and every day.

For all guests departing on match days, we arranged an “on course” luggage vehicle managed by a lead chauffeur which ensured all suitcases were labelled and ready for collection at the appropriate times. The chauffeur communicated with all other chauffeurs to ensure the vehicles and luggage were ready should the play have ended early or extended to a play off.

“Thank you again for all your support throughout the Open. All of your team went above and beyond on every occasion and that’s what made transport so easy for us to manage from our end. The chauffeurs were always impeccable and our branded ties looked great. We will of course keep you top of mind should we need chauffeurs at any time. “
