UEFA Euro 2020 – Host City Glasgow

Glasgow is one of 12 cities that will play host to UEFA EURO 2020 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the football championship. Other host cities include London, Rome, Baku and Bucharest, Amsterdam, Bilbao, Budapest, Copenhagen, Dublin, Munich and St Petersburg.

Hampden Park, Scotland’s national stadium, will stage three group matches and one knockout round in the championships, which will take place between June and July 2020, with exact dates yet to be confirmed.

The stadium hosted the classic 1960 European Cup final which saw Real Madrid beat Eintracht Frankfurt 7-3, and was the setting in 2002 for a wonder goal by Zinédine Zidane that gave Real Madrid UEFA Champions League success in the final against Bayer Leverkusen.

Rome’s Stadio Olimpico will host the opening game with London’s Wembley staging both the semi-finals and final of the championship.
