As part of preparations for this year’s World Down Syndrome Congress, taking place at the SEC, Glasgow from the 24th – 27th of July, Glasgow Welcomes has partnered with the Glasgow Convention Bureau, VisitScotland and the SEC to offer a free and bespoke awareness training session. The session, which took place mid-March, was delivered by trainers from the Down’s Syndrome Association, and informed participants on how best to give a warm Scottish and Glaswegian welcome to the delegates, by understanding their specific requirements.
The trainers at the awareness session supplied participants with practical hints and tips as well as a factsheet to cascade to colleagues within their organisation.
