Little’s Summer Update

We have had a great year so far – here are our highlights.

2016 has been a year of celebration for Little’s as we reach our 50th Anniversary. Established in 1966 by brothers George and Mike Wills, we were thrilled to kick off celebrations at the end of 2015 with a win of the title Family Business of the Year at The Herald Scottish Family Business Awards. The months since have been filled with excitement for the Little’s team, so much so that we have decided to reminisce over the past 6 months and share the defining moments of 2016 so far with our loyal clients.

Little’s appointed Neil Barton as Business Development Manager in London to identify new opportunities as well as develop our relationship with existing London clients – many of whom have remained loyal to Little’s for decades. Neil has worked on vocalising the story behind Little’s to clients, stressing that “heritage is of huge importance in London, and the knowledge that every booking brings with it unrivalled experience and respect for tradition, coupled with the very latest technical innovations to make the booking and travel experience seamless, is very appealing for modern businesses across the board.”

Since his appointment, Neil has attended many industry events to continue to establish the Little’s brand and gain invaluable industry knowledge, including The Meetings Show, The Yacht, Jet and Prestige Car Show and is due to attend World Travel Market  when it comes to London in November. Make sure you say hello if you see him!

To coincide with the appointment of Neil, Little’s became members of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry in March, which provides us with great opportunity to grow our network and work more closely alongside clients.

Earlier this year we added brand new Mercedes V Class MPVs to our fleet in Scotland to provide up to 7 clients with the very utmost in comfort, quality and discretion. These vehicles have a cream leather interior and seating can be rearranged in conference-style – transforming the vehicle into an office on wheels for our corporate clients. The Little’s V Classes are also perfect for our leisure touring guests – with ample space for 7 suitcases plus golf clubs.

Continuing on the theme of leisure touring, this year we have tapped into the niche market of vintage-inspired journeys following our recognition of the growth in demand of unique experiences in visitors to Scotland. For summer 2016 we have designed specialised sightseeing tours of Scotland in our Rolls Royce classic saloon vehicles – stunning yet robust cars that command attention. Our fleet of Rolls Royce vehicles are a throwback to days gone by, with burr walnut panelling and lambswool carpets lending true decadence to each passenger experience. The perfect complement to a Rolls Royce tour of Scotland would be the newly-established Scottish Gin Trail, which has been developed to showcase the numerous Scottish craft gins that have enjoyed a recent resurgence in popularity. A must-try if visiting Scotland – read our blog on the trail here!

With summer well and truly upon us, the Little’s team have been busy producing bespoke touring itineraries for many new and returning leisure clients, growing our corporate business and liaising closely with numerous conference organisers to provide seamless transport solutions to their large-scale events. With many high-profile sporting events over the next few weeks, including The Open and The Scottish Open, it is a very busy but exciting time for all involved and we are looking forward to welcoming spectators, players and corporate clients to the home of golf.

Further from home, we have continued to grow global operations with our ever-increasing presence now reaching 200 cities worldwide – we can assist wherever in the world you may require our chauffeur services.
