“One of the great Scottish courses” – Arnold Palmer
The 145th Open Golf Championship will return to Royal Troon Golf Club between 10th – 17th July.
This prestigious global golfing event returns to one of Scotland’s most celebrated courses for the ninth time in its history, with a number of hospitality options available ranging from private tables at the prestigious 1860 Club to the less formal atmosphere of The Champions Club.
Brett Tonkyn, The Open Hospitality sales director, says:
“From our side, the location of hospitality is always important and this year our guests will enjoy a spot right next to the 15th hole. Whilst on-course, the various grandstands and the natural lie of the land allows for some fantastic vantage points to see all of the action.
We are right in the heart of the action and being located on one of the finishing holes is a great a position for our guests, especially for those in The View Restaurant and The Premier Suites on the upper level who will get stunning views of the 15th hole and the Firth of Clyde beyond.”
With around 170,000 visitors anticipated this year and with sales of hospitality packages at an all-time high, follow our comprehensive list of what is available over the course of the tournament to find something suited to your expectations.
The Open Hospitality Packages 2016
The 1860 Club
Hosted by the Championship’s Professional Events Team, guests enjoying the traditional hospitality of the 1860 Club are treated to breakfast upon arrival followed by a waiter-served four course luncheon showcasing the finest in Scottish dining. Afternoon tea is served later in the day with yet more Scottish produce available. Guests will also be given access to a full complementary bar whilst enjoying the golf in a relaxed, private environment.
The Champions Club
The brand-new Champions Club is described as ‘a new concept in sporting hospitality, offering guests the opportunity to soak up the fun and festival atmosphere in this purpose built facility’. Located within the vibrant Hospitality Village next to the 15th & 16th holes, guests can walk directly on to the course and follow all the action. The Champions Club is this year’s more informal offering, with a private garden and screening area. The concept has been designed to be utilised as a base for those looking to explore the wider area and return frequently throughout the day for canapés, a buffet lunch and a complimentary bar.
The Premier Suites
The Premier Suites provide a private area for larger groups with panoramic views of the course from the upper level of the Hospitality Pavilion.
The View VIP
Fancy having dinner on the most exclusive restaurant overlooking the green? Floor-to-ceiling windows lend impressive panoramic views of the 15th hole, stretching to the Firth of Clyde behind. This option is a gastronomic delight, with a full breakfast, canapés, four-course a-la-carte lunch, afternoon tea, cakes, fruit and pastries served over the course of the day alongside a fully-stocked open bar.
