As Scotland’s longest established chauffeur drive company, we are delighted to share the news of our shortlist for the Family Business of the Year award at the 2015 Scottish Business Awards.
We are now shortlisted for two awards including our Managing Director’s nomination for Female Business Leader of the Year. It is a great honour to be recognised in both categories as organisers have declared that this year was the most competitive applications process to date.
Ahead of our company’s 49th anniversary in November, our core values are still the forefront of the business and our ambition to provide a world class service with a personalised approach have assisted our nomination for this award.
Our Managing Director Heather has always shared the Founder, her Father George Wills’s, drive for success, ensuring that all her team from reservations to chauffeurs share the same goals and understanding of service excellence. With customer satisfaction at the heart of worldwide operations, repeat and new business continues to propel the company into offering services in more cities internationally.
Starting out as a trainee, Heather spent five years working across every part of the business before being made a Partner in 1997. In 2002, Heather and her father began to craft a succession strategy in anticipation of George’s retirement in 2005 when Heather took over the reigns as Managing Director. As part of her commitment to ensuring the business survived succession, Heather became a founding member for the Scottish Family Business Association, an organisation committed to raising awareness, supporting and educating some of the 60,000 family businesses operating throughout Scotland.
With the Awards a true celebration of Scotland amongst our established businesses and Hollywood legend George Clooney, we have introduced special event chauffeur drive rates for the evening.
