Little’s Welcomes the Glasgow Commonwealth Games 2014

Little’s are looking forward to welcoming the XX Commonwealth Games  to Glasgow between 23rd July to 3rd August 2014. We are proud to be hosting the largest multi – sport event ever to be held in Scotland.

With a distinguished history spanning from 1930, the Commonwealth Games will bring together thousands of competitors for over 11 days of fierce competition. From the demanding perseverance of triathlons to the precision of table tennis and badminton, the electrifying energy of track events, and the elegance of gymnastics, the Commonwealth Games include 17 formidable sports. Aquatics, wrestling, cycling and gymnastics are among the list of sports at the 2014 games.

As stated by Visit Scotland “the eyes of the world will be on Glasgow as it hosts the XX Commonwealth Games”. With the last Games held in 2010 in Delhi, the upcoming event will bring top athletes from the Commonwealth nations to compete head to head in Glasgow. As the city readies itself for an international contingent of the world’s finest athletes, we are looking forward to the opportunity to view 11 days of excellent competition.

Scotland last held the Commonwealth Games in 1986 in Edinburgh. Now it’s Glasgow’s turn to hold the historical games and it will be a thrilling occasion. Feel the adrenaline pump as you take your place in one of the many sporting arenas including the Emirates Arena, Sir Chris Hoy Veledrome and SSE Hydro to name a few.
