As 2017 draws to a close, Little’s are delighted to share some of this year’s highlights.
Celebrating 51 years in Business
On 28th November, we celebrated our 51st birthday. The Little’s story started when brothers George & Mike Wills had an ambitious vision to build a new chauffeur drive business for the Scottish market. Today, with George’s daughter Heather at the helm, Little’s operate over forty five luxury cars in Scotland and provide a truly global chauffeur service which extends in over 160 cities internationally. We are proud that our family values of offering a professional and personalised service are still at the forefront of everything we do.
QSi Award Win
Little’s were proud to win bronze as Chauffeur Company of the Year (31 + vehicles) at the Professional Driver QSi awards. The QSi awards are the only dedicated national awards for the Chauffeur, Private Hire and Taxi industry and are open to every chauffeur and private hire company in the UK, recognising operators and individuals who demonstrate excellent standards of quality, service and innovation. This is a fantastic achievement for the team and a great way to end the year.
New Website Launched in May
In May of this year we launched our new website, a project we decided to undertake in order to cater for our expanding global operations. With a clean design and improved menu functionality the new website has helped our clients navigate our content more effectively – ensuring they always find the information most relevant to them.
Social Bite Sleep in the Park
We believe in giving back to the community and this year have supported Social Bite. Our managing director, Heather, took part in the CEO sleep out in December last year and this year six of our team joined 9,000 others who took part in the biggest sleep out ever in Princes Street Gardens. With a fundraising target of £3,000 the team smashed the target by organising various events and fundraising activities throughout the last 3 months. You can follow us on any of our social media channels.
Expanding into New Cities Internationally
2017 saw us manage Formula 1 team transport for the Chinese Grand Prix – a multi day event for which our team not only provided cars but on site support throughout. Since the beginning of the year, the USA and Canadian markets also saw major growth, with many clients completing multi day roadshows between both countries.
Event Planner’s Playbook Launch
The Little’s team has years of experience providing transport for events of all sizes and decided to share this expertise in our ‘Event Planners Playbook’. The playbook offers hints and tips which can assist with organising ground transportation for any event.
New Hybrids on Fleet
The carbon footprint of business travel has become increasingly important to Little’s clients and, with that in mind, the company has added further hybrid vehicles to our fleet in Scotland. Future plans for an all hybrid fleet form part of the company’s commitment to reducing the impact of their operations on the environment.
A huge thank you to all our clients who have continued to support Little’s in 2017 and we wish you a peaceful Christmas and prosperous New Year.
