Fast establishing itself as a host city for international conferences, Glasgow is set to welcome over 700 delegates for The Third International Clinical Trials Methodology Conference, taking place at the SECC over the weekend of the 16-17 November.
The conference works to bring people together who are conducting research into trials methodology, with people designing, conducting and using trials to find and discuss the most appropriate ways to improve health by improving trials. Previously being held in both Bristol and Edinburgh, organisers have recognised Glasgow as a city “not afraid to do the heavy lifting required for success”, and have taken inspiration from our city’s reputation in designing the conference.
This is a challenging, dynamic time for researchers within this field, and through workshops, parallel sessions, keynote talks and opportunities to network at the conference, connections can be built to pave the way for real progress to be made. People will come together to advance knowledge, and it is honourable that Glasgow has been recognised as a suitable host for such an event. We can all agree that this is a critical component of working to advance healthcare and treatment around the world, and look forward welcoming such esteemed experts to Glasgow, including Prof Peter Horby from the University of Oxford.
The SECC has become a Glasgow institution, perhaps favoured by organisers for its dramatic armadillo appearance and versatility to accommodate a variety of events, and with the impressive Crowne Plaza Hotel located a stone’s throw away, Little’s can organise airport transfers for delegates from both Glasgow and Prestwick Airports to ensure your journey is seamless. If you’re tempted to extend your stay, we also offer leisure tours of Scotland with a tailored itinerary which we craft to suit your needs, whether that be a simple city sightseeing tour of Glasgow or a trip encompassing the whole of Scotland. Our fleet, including executive Lexus Hybrid saloons, will elegantly transfer you to where you need to be.
