Little’s Gives Green Light to State of the Art Hybrid Fleet

Little’s has given the green light to hybrid technology with the announcement today that five new luxurious eco-friendly Lexus cars will be joining our fleet in Scotland.

The investment is one of the most significant in recent times for the family-run firm and is part of our commitment to creating an environmentally sustainable business.

Combining the latest green technology with Little’s immaculately presented burgundy livery, while also being fitted with the highest specification of interior, the five Lexus GS 300h saloons will join Little’s Scottish fleet operating from our bases in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Not only will the full hybrid vehicles help us strengthen our own green credentials, it is also an indication of our ongoing commitment to the highest levels of service for our clients. Business travel is the largest generator of carbon emissions for many major companies and has become a top sustainability priority, so the availability of a high-end hybrid chauffeur service is of real benefit in fulfilling corporate sustainability targets.

The new cars, arranged through Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services and supplied through Lexus Glasgow, are the SE version of the GS 300h, which comes with dual-zone climate control, electrically adjustable seats, a 12-speak audio system with DAB tuner, LED ambient cabin lighting and automatic headlights and windscreen wipers.

The model’s full hybrid powertrain allows it to run in near-silent all-electric EV mode in slow moving city traffic, reducing tailpipe emissions and fuel consumption to zero.

Heather Matthews, Managing Director commented: ‘The Lexus GS 300h is the first hybrid we have used and we are confident they will add an important and attractive new dimension to our luxury vehicle fleet.

‘Our clients place an increasing emphasis on environmental performance and sustainability, issues that we can address with the highly efficient GS 300h. By running these vehicles we are also able to strengthen the ‘green’ qualities of our own operation.

‘At the same time, the Lexus hybrids provide a very smooth and refined ride and a luxurious, quiet cabin environment, maintaining the high standards of quality and comfort we require of all our vehicles.’

Stuart Ferma, Manager Toyota and Lexus Fleet Services, said: ‘Little’s decision to take the GS 300h is an acknowledgement of how Lexus successfully combines its advanced, highly efficient hybrid technology with contemporary luxury and refinement. We are confident the cars will prove a valuable, reliable and worthy addition to their prestigious fleet.’
